Important WWI & II Historical Figures


Task- Students will research and prepare a one to two page word document on their person.

Purpose- To understand the significant roll these individuals played during the war.

Activity- Students will research a two page word document. This document will be single spaced, in a size 12 font of your choice. It should have your name and title on the top of the first page. It should also contain up to two pictures of this person. Write an informative account of a famous, influential figure from World War I and World War II. Describe who they were, what their role was, what country did they belong to, major contributions to the war, and their legacy today. Choose from the list below or find someone else and ask for teacher’s approval:

Important World War sites




Task- Students will create a power point presentation of important World war sites

Purpose- To identify and understand significant events of World War I & II.

Supplies- Text book, internet, and laptop

Activity- Students will create a power point presentation of important world war sites. Your presentation should be at least ten slides long. One slide per site (that means you choose any 8 sites below). They will explain the importance of the site and it’s role in the war. There should be a title slide that has your name and the presentations title and ending slide. Each of the “ten slides” should have a title, picture, and 4-6 bullets describing the importance of the site during the war. Sounds and transitions are optional.
